Snack between meals?

Improving personal performance through diet, can be a fun & rewarding experience. You've seen people that seem to always be energetic, in great health, happy, productive. How do they do that? Do they know something you don't? Caffeine? Maybe they take advantage of the billions spent each year on research to improve your health & vitality.

I avoided all diet plans in my 18+ years in the food business. Then, over a year ago, several friends reported 25 pounds lost in a month without cutting meals or snacks, using the Atkins or South Beach low carb diets. That, sounded like my kind of diet. After some study, I had similar results and felt more energetic without starving myself. Years later, I'm still not hauling around that extra 25 pounds all day, every day, and I still have a snack between meals. The Atkins and the South Beach Diet low carb diet books allow for snacks between meals. Both were interesting reads and it worked for me... and several friends.
